I'm so over the moon I've got to post this twice. Grade 5 Jazz Sax on Baritone 140. Can't believe it!!!

Wow! Well done!

I have had 3 results back (out of 4 exams taken at different centres):

Grade 2 piano 137!!!
Grade 5 cello 136!!!
Grade 2 Violin 121!

The piano exam gives me the highest mark achieved by a pupil of mine so far! Am beaming from ear to ear!!! As is the young lady who definitely needed the confidence boost!!!

My Ilford results from 20th March were online today, just a bit too late for letting the students know before they broke up for the holidays, however I have texted them all, it was good news all round.

Congratulations to everyone for the great results posted smile.gif

Congratulations to everyone so far. hurrah.gif

Here's mine:

Grade 3 Saxophone 131 (especially pleased with the aural and sight-reading marks)
Grade 2 Theory 95% (for the same pupil)

The pupil is delighted and said I was "the best music teacher in the world" which really made my day because I had been feeling a bit unsure of myself.

I've got 5 people doing exams in the summer which will be my biggest entry yet. So the work continues. smile.gif

Well done everyone! Brilliant results this term!

Just waiting for theory now.

Hello all

Congratulations to everyone, looks like lots of very good results here. Just wondering if anyone had candidates at the Guildhall specialist sessions at the weekend in London? I put myself in as an adult and hadn't realised how quickly TG seem to get results out. Now in state of nervous tension waiting for the result! Any idea if I will hear by email or post?
Clare1986
Well done everyone! I'm waiting for my pupil results from 28th April. Two are convinced they've failed so I really want to prove them wrong! Although I've entered pupils before through the music service I work for, these were the first for my private (and very first) pupils.
SueHM
Argh..... sad.gif No results yet

Edit : checked yet again and theory results are through (C centre, FYI!)
Grade 1 - Distinction, Grade 5 - Pass. Very happy with both of those.
elliewelly
My last result is in!! (T centre)

Grade 4 Theory - 93 - Distinction!

It's the same girl that got Merit for her Grade 5 clarinet and it's also her birthday, so she is thrilled!
music margaret
Can we please have the W centres!?!

Frustratedly still waiting! Normally use a centre beginning with a C, but only had one entry this term and the centre more convenient to them begins with a W! I live in a rural location and so people travel quite a way to get to exam centres, so this did make sense for us, although now I wish I'd stuck with the C centre!

I'm waiting for a practical result from the 25th March - very nervous candidate so anything could have happened...

Clare1986
Just got my results from exams on the 28th March.

Grade 3 clarinet - 106 (was expecting higher but it was her first exam and she was nervous)
Grade 2 clarinet - 104 (messed up her scales, but generally happy with this result)
Grade 1 saxophone - 111 (very happy as nerves were really bad, and one piece wasn't completely ready)
Grade 3 saxophone - 123 (very happy)
Grade 3 saxophone - 116 (was capable of getting a merit but hadn't learnt her scales. she has only been learning 6 months though so still happy!)
Grade 3 clarinet - 92 (fail) - he was quite a little boy and he dropped his clarinet just before going in so he had to use my much heavier wooden one. When he got to his second piece the nerves really hit him, like he'd just realised where he was. It's a shame but I know that in his lessons he plays to grade 3 standard.

I'm generally happy. At first I thought they were a bit low but thinking about it, I teach a group of people who are very easily affected by nerves! I'm so glad I've got through my first exam entry (and accompaniment)!

maybe they don't do it alphabetically but in mass of centres, e.g. maybe there were lots beginning with a certain letter that they get out first (or last, i'm not sure- just a guess) and the less common the centre letter (either by number of centres starting with that letter or number of entries at those centres) have there's out later...

that doesn't make much sense...it made sense in my head.

Well done to all pupils/teachers with results from this session. 3 weeks to go for my exam yet (special visit)...starting to panic a little...really shouldn't be on here...in fact i'm off to practice...

How long are everyone's AB practical exam results taking this time round? I'm getting a bit impatient, but I think it's a bit early yet.

At last:

Grade 4 Piano - Distinction
Grade 2 Jazz Piano - Merit
Grade 1 Piano - 2 x Merit, 2 x Pass

Grade 5 Theory - Pass
Grade 1 Theory - Distinction

Trinity Guildhall Piano Grade 1 - Pass

Pretty much what I predicted, with one or two happy suprises! My biggest entry to date, so feeling quite proud of myself...
Scaramouche
Well done Sue, what dates were those exams on?

Still waiting for just ONE candidate's result!

Well done Sue and everyone smile.gif

I have just had the most extraordinary result of 144 for a Grade One piano - the highest a pupil has achieved with me in 25 years teaching! I either need to have more faith in myself or chill out on more holidays!!! I have to admit to feeling totally shattered when I stopped last week and still recovering! Another Grade One theory 96 came through as well - and that's it for this term smile.gif

Wow! biggrin.gif

Well done!

Well done too to everyone else! smile.gif
HelenVJ
Pretty amazing, cambiata - congratulatons!

Just out of interest, would you have predicted this stellar mark, or was it a bit of a surprise?

Well done to everyone else too!
