IMO very boring to read, pointless, trite etc. I wouldn't be seen dead using it.

Does however come into its own, for example, during the heavy snowfall when our local bus company was using it to give up to date details of what services were running.

Twitter can, however, be useful for stalking keeping up with favourite authors (Neil Gaiman for me).
