Hi everyone! I'm newish here, although have read the forums a lot to answer queries without actually posting. Anyway, I've been playing the piano since I was six (that's about 30 years!) Had a few breaks to do sensible day jobs and have babies, but now spending more and more time playing music - in fact what was once a nice hobby has becom a complete obsession! I teach a few kids after school, have a fantastic teacher of my own and am thinking about a diploma. Also dabble with guitars, both electric and acoustic, the violin and flute. Whilst I am a particular fan of Bach, Costello Music by the Fratellis is one of my favourite albums from recent years and I love to thrash about to most styles of music!!!

I'm a woodwind player and can't talk to you about pianos much - but I'm sure some of the pianists will be along later. You sound like you're far too good to be an adult learner as you've been playing 30 years and are doing a diploma , but might find the teacher's and diploma sections interesting (as well as viva Piano).
