Absolutely!

As usual the price of a dinner is at risk for the result - if Oxford win, Misterjay pays (he was at Cambridge) while if Cambridge win I'm out of pocket ('cos I was at Oxford)

One of two things here:

1) you know my sense of humour

or

2) I posted this last year too

I say 'pah' in the face of original humour laugh.gif

Definitely last year. Possibly the year before as well. I wasn't here the year before that.

Actually ITV have decided that they're going to stop showing it. As far as I know noone from the BBC has yet said that they're not showing it again...

Sorry BBC...

One thought... how come it's always Oxford and Cambridge in the final? laugh.gif

Was only three months ago... rofl.gif

I shall treat myself to a couple of hours television this evening - in Oxford. Inspector Lewis has just started - first series - on French television.

But I shall shout for Cambridge on boat race day because I always have. Just like the light blue better!

Having been born and brought up near Oxford I always cheer for Oxford.

I used to row at near that sort of level (for UL). I had a school friend who was in the Cambridge crew that sank, and two former crewmates who stroked winning Oxford crews as well as 5 other friends who rowed in the race for either side (and the same number who rowed for Goldie or Isis) and one friend who umpired the race one year. None of this has changed my nominal, but rather soto voce, allegiance to Oxford!

(Go Oxford)

I watched it from the riverside (or at least attempted to but mostly could just see the backs of people's heads). But the right team won, so that's all that really matters...

I saw a few mins of it at the Parents in Law's and won't be watcing it again - ITV have hyped the whole thing up so high I had to check what I was watching.
