The Old Lady
Wasn't it lovely and warm today?? I can't wait for the summer weather. It'll be lovely to get a few clothes off and wear sandals again. It's been a long winter because we had such a dismal summer last year.
Does anyone else just love summer? wub.gif
Miss Ross
Oh, I really do. Brighter evenings, long walks after work, drinks in the garden, sitting around with friends into the early hours (rolleyes.gif), waking up and it not being dark, wearing fewer clothes... laugh.gif
The Old Lady
Lovely isn't it Miss Ross?? I even painted my toenails today in readiness for the sandals rolleyes.gif

All my summery clothes from last year are too big. *sigh* sad.gif But my feet haven't shrunk any so my sandal-type things will be ok. biggrin.gif

Depending on how many pieces of clothing you are wearing, that could still be a significant amount of undressing! tongue.gif

No, here it was dull, cloudy, misty and drizzly with a top temperature of around 9°C dry.gif

It was freezing here this morning, so I went out in coat, gloves and scarf, only to be boiled on the way home dry.gif

I wish the weather would make make up its mind. rolleyes.gif

Summer here is OK on the days when it's like spring. Otherwise it's too hot for my liking so I hope spring lasts a long time.

sat in the sun to drink a cuppa yesterday afternoon - lovely !

wear sandals again.
I actually don't think I stopped wearing sandals this winter. Oh, OK, when it snowed I did. That's the only time I can recall having boots/socks on. I know I was wearing sandals in December as I finally had to admit a pair were worn out and throw them away - on December 23rd! They were, I then realised, a pair my mother had bought me when I left university and started work, so they'd done over 10 years.
Definitely had sandals on at some point in January, and my lovely boot collection has had so little use!

Sounds like an excuse to eat lots of ice cream as soon as the sun starts shining.

Good grief no!! I only wear socks with walking boots or shoes, or when I'm wearing more lady-like boots (I definitely did not wear tights at any point this winter, I was bare-legged throughout. Although I mostly wear ankle-length skirts so probably nobody else could tell you that!)
Socks are almost as evil as closed shoes - avoided at all costs! I really really really absolutely can not stand having warm/hot feet.

I am looking forward to doing some more cycling during the Easter break. The weather has been so wet that I have not used it much recently but that is set to change from tomorrow. (With my luck that may be when the weather changes too sad.gif ) I shall be fitting the dog trailer to the back of my bike on Sunday and taking the dog to the beach in the afternoon come whatever the weather.

laugh.gif I painted my toenails in ten different colours once. If I tried to do that now I would need nine colours only, having managed to bash the right little toenail off a few days ago.

What is a dog trailer? Is it a pushbike or a motorbike? *intrigued*

It is one of these:

and it fits behind my pedal bike. Our dog is getting old and cannot run the three miles to the beach anymore so he travels in style and then has a run around when we get to there. I fitted a hardboard floor to it and he loves it.
