I have a boy (I don't teach him) doing Grade 4 trumpet. My Peri and I have suggested he does Muskrat Ramble with swung quavers and not as written in the edition he's using, which doesn't mention swing. I'm sure I'm right (and have listened to youtube examples) but would appreciate a 3rd opinion.
Thanks

It's in the treble recorder Grade 3 list too, and it is supposed to be swung according to the indication - I thought this a bit strange initially, as rags are usually straight, but I've got used to it now! smile.gif

I would agree ith this normally but have found some composers write rags and mean them to be swing pieces which I feel is wrong! But if it works...
