I often wonder what the Google logo represents. Today's is very pretty - does anyone know the significance of it?

It's Earth Day

I've just had a look and it's Earth Day. If you click on it there are several sites explaining it. I haven't looked at any of them though. I did wonder if it was representing spring initially.

Had a quick look and 22nd April is a day to aspire awareness and appreciation of the the Earth's environment.

I love it when they change the Google logo (that's very sad, but I like seeingall the different things they can do with it...!)

Note that these peeps who know aren't just "in the loop" Skylark. If you point to the logo and linger a second or so, a popup mesage tells you what it represents.

Yeah the Dr Seuss one was brilliant!!! I love the way Google does this, it always cheers me up at work when I go to Google and see a pretty logo

The very hungry caterpillar one last month was particularly special - done by the author himself in the same collage art style to commemorate the book's anniversary.

I remember seeing that one and being rather overly excited I think that's my favourite one!!

Slightly off topic but stil Google. My Google page is now asking me to telecharge Google Chrome. A friend did this and said it was unpleasant to use.

Before I launch myself into some sort of cybermess - I'm lousy at computers - could anyone comment?

Google Chrome is a web browser, much like Internet Explorer or Firefox. You don't have to do anything unless you want to switch to a Google Chrome browser Aquarelle.

I think it's quite clever, but I'm not sure I really like it...

It's in honour of that fossil they found recently - apparently the scientists or paleantologists (or whatever...) are very excited about it.........

Yesterday's was Father's Day themed - did anyone else notice?

I did. Left me feeling a little melancholy , but I hope all of you had a good and happy Father's Day.

I do hope you managed to get through the day without too much distress, Barry... These days are awful for bringing things back.

I kind of almost ignored it really.

It could've been a lot worse. I had sad moments, but there were some bright spots yesterday, notably talking to a-p-f, and sorting out some Northern Ireland stuff, also finishing off the Taunton playday website. That kept me busy, and meant I dwelt on the the significance of the day rather less.

Thanks mwl1, and everyone else who's supported me. It means so much to have wonderful friends like some of you here on this forum.
