turn your right foot in a clockwise direction while moving you right hand anti-clockwise? Repeat with different combinations of right/left hand and foot. Some trickier than others or maybe I'm not co-ordinated enough!

*imagines forummers all over the world moving right hands/feet in clockwise/anti clockwise directions*
lucky045
Yes, but only slowly, and only if I start off moving the foot first, get into a rhythm with that, then try to move my hand. tongue.gif

Yes I can do all four combinations of left / right hands and feet, but left hand with left foot was a good bit trickier!

Interesting! I found the right hand/right foot combination the hardest. Anything to do with handedness? (I'm right-handed)

Possibly! I'm right handed too BM and I find my left foot not the most co-operative!! laugh.gif I wonder is that partly due to it having been broken, or is that just a lame excuse ph34r.gif sorry!

Oh come on, you organists! You ought to find it EASY! tongue.gif biggrin.gif

Well I was going quite well with the oppostiee hand/foot combinations, but I epically fail at same hand and foot wacko.gif and getting my feet getting caught in the wires under the desk doesn't help... rolleyes.gif

Here's one I did with a group of teachers a few years back - RH tap crotchets on R knee ; LH tap quavers on L knee; R foot tap semibreves, L foot tap minims (all at the same time, I might add!!! And different combinations of the above......
Cyrilla
I could do all of these quite easily...the last one of chocolatedog's sounds a tad Dalcrozian to me laugh.gif

jacobpianofluteorgan
I could do them all pretty well, but Chocolatedog's was confusing as I kept forgetting which body part represented what! blush.gif

I could do the rotating one if I started with both hand and foot pointing at a definite 12 o'clock and moving from that point at the same time. If I just try and start randomly, I can't do it at all.

Ooo, that was fun biggrin.gif hehe
My brain's a little bit blink.gif now though!! hehe

haha - yes, I think the blink.gif and wacko.gif smileys are very appropriate!

I can do the two hands / two feet one but only if I concentrate REEEEEEEEally hard. Also it makes a difference which length note you start with !

I tried this and my left hand kept tapping the crotchets and my right foot kept going into triplets blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif laugh.gif

Don't know about the Dally person, but I could do this one quite easily too.
Have to say I'm pleased - because I can't always do the singing thingies so easily that sometimes come up here. tongue.gif

I find it very, very , very, very hard... sad.gif

It's not just you that finds it hard ph34r.gif

I'm sure one of the rotating hand and foot combinations is supposed to be physically impossible. I think it's probably the RH and right foot rotating in opposite directions, but I'm not 100% on that.
SueHM
Hmm, just tried this - found I can do all the combos - but only if I can clearly see all hands/feet involved. If one is obscured from my line of sight by laptop screen, it instantly goes wrong! Always knew I was a strongly visual learner - I have to visualise the circles, then I can do it.

Managed the semibreve/quaver thingy for a few bars before it went wrong - tricky! Drum kit players ought to manage this one OK? drummer.gif

For chocolatedog's combi, my feet refuse to tap anything less than minims and crotchets... Maybe it's because I always use my left foot to tap the pulse while playing a brand new piece? tongue.gif
