Not so much of a topic to start but just wanted to share.
My music service held a parents evening today and although I only had two parents to see, I was very happy with the results. Both were very pleased with the progress of their children - one, after sitting down and remarking "I didn't realise you'd be so young!", later said they'd seen a big change in their daughter's progress and attitude since I'd taken her over. And when i told the other parent that I would be ending my maternity leave cover at the end of the year and the original teacher would be coming back, she goes; "oh, is she any good?"....I quickly explained that yes she is and is also the head of the woodwind here!
This was my first parents evening and it was great to hear feedback after my first proper year teaching. I'm really going to miss teaching those that I have to give back to the teacher I'm covering for!

Anyway, as I said, just wanted to share smile.gif

Well done, Clare! Two satisfied parents! Have the music service given you more pupils to replace those you'll be losing?

Aww that's lovely smile.gif
Good that you have enjoyed it...just a shame you can't have it permanently I suppose!
I guess it'll be brilliant experience to take on with you for future pupils biggrin.gif

Clare, that's great! what a positive experience for you. Pity you can't keep those pupils! At least you 'll get a vote of confidence and that bodes well for the future.
