laugh.gif I had a shiny new piano delivered a couple of weeks ago and it's wonderful. OK it does come with a plug, but it means I can record and playback without having to faff round with other bits and bobs - I am just sooooo technical. What really helps, is I get to really listen to my own playing, and wow do I need to make a few changes! So I'm in a good mood and intend to enjoy it while it lasts. It even has the full three pedals to play with, which is really going to get my feet tapping. The fun bit is all the extra bells and whistles that come with it, like percussion. The keyboard is as close to an a strung piano as I can get. (I like to get on with my neighbours and this comes with headphones.)

I'm just back from my local piano shop, where I've played lots of lovely new shiny pianos today. Back home with my older shiny piano now!

Glad you are enjoying your new gizmos, Jane! laugh.gif

laugh.gif Even better it's making the lessons more fun, particularly with the tiny ones. When they've finished 'working' at the lesson, they play a piece or exercise in a different voice. The recording bit really helps them really hear what they've played. party1.gif party1.gif

Sorry, only just realised about the photo! Don't think I am good enough with techie stuff for that, but just imagine a beautiful shiny black (I think rosewood) piano, with pillars, a lovely keyboard which is the closest I've come across to the real strung type, and the most amazing sound which is tons better than my old keyboard. I've just started to experiment with the bells and whistles, so to speak, and the tiny ones love playing percussion, or the organ or strings or brass or . . . you get the picture. The record thingy helps too, and it is going to make reassess how I play myself, which can only be good. wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif
