Some years ago Robert Leach and I ran a course on business matters for organists, church musicians, choirmasters, etc.

We dealt with:

- contracts
- child protection issues
- finance and budgets
- relations with the clergy
- copyright, photocopying, performance protection, etc
- fees
- health and safety
- choir management
- tax and NIC
- fees

Would it be helpful if we were to run another course? Do you think there is a demand for this?

The fee would be about £10 to include a simple sandwich lunch and hire of the venue.

The location would be central London on a Saturday from 10.30am to about 3pm.

If you think this is worthwhile I will talk to Robert about it and we will set something up.

That sounds like an excellent idea Barry, although London is a long way from us.

If you were able to do something further north we would almost certainly want to attend.

Having had a quick google of train timetables etc I think I would be able to make it, providing it is not in the wedding season.

Ten pounds doesn't seem much though!
