I always love this 'regular' thread about who is entered for what exams this term. So I thought I would start one for this term.
I'm doing G5 Theory which I hope will be a bit less scary than the performance exams.
What is everyone else doing?

I'm taking Grade 3 Theory - in preparation for Grade 5 Theory in November! Then I might think about some singing grades to see if the ABRSM and I agree on my singing ability!

One of my adult learners is doing grade 2 recorder.
So is one of my younger learners.
One of my adult learners is doing grade 1 singing.
My school recorder candidates are three grade 1s and 5 prep tests.
And I'm doing my FTCL in singing.
I'm not sure which of the above stresses me out most......
(Except I know the grade 2s will do the best job of preparing

)

Thanks jazzycat!

I like all three of those pieces. I've had Frensham Pond as a separate piece (ie not in the blue grade 5 book) for some years now, it's a nice piece to drop into a recital programme.

All the best with your grade 5!

On average, it's between 3 and 5 weeks in advance of the exam, but it does vary.

It's so stressful, I just hope when I get the date that my piano teacher can accompnay me otherwise I'll have 3 weeks to find an accompanyist. I think that's the most stressful thing I've found about this exam!

G6 piano and G3 bassoon
Piano = sight-singing = AAAAAAAGGGHHH! I
really can't do it.
But bassoon should be fine, at least the aurals.

For my G2 clarinet last summer I got 18/18 (5 days after getting 17/18 on G5 piano)!
