is destroying the tuning of my fiddle. Unfortunately, I live in an attic room in a shared house and can't leave it anywhere other than in my room.
Any ideas on how to minimise the problem? or do I just have to put up with it? my violin isn't a spectaculr bajillion pound instrument, but he's mine and i can't afford anything to go wrong.
help, if possible pls..

The temperature per se will not destroy or damage your violin. Yes, it will affect the strings and therefore the tuning, but as far as damage to the instrument is concerned, extremes of humidity are the problem - very dry and converse to what some people might think, very damp conditions too. Dry conditions can be caused not only by weather, but also central heating in the winter!
Buy a humidity device for your case - available from luthiers or even some music shops.
Caswells-online would be a good place to start looking.
