Dear Fellow Board Members,

I am delighted to announce that The Guild of Church Musicians is sponsoring a course for church organists entitled 'Everything Else an Organist Should Know'.

The course will be held at the Guild Church of Saint Katherine Cree, 86 Leadenhall Street, Aldgate, London EC3A 3DH on Saturday 31st October from about 10.30 am until about 3.30pm.

The topics will include (but not be limited to):

- Clergy/Organist Relationships
- Contracts, pay and fees
- Employment issues
- Child Protection, including an update on CRBs
- Health and Safety issues
- Photocopying and copyright matters
- Choir Management
- a Preview of 'Everything Else a Choirmaster Should Know'
and plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion.

My co-author, Robert Leach, FCCA ACA FIPP FGMS ATCL ACertCM, will be joining me for this course.

The cost of the Course is £10 which will include a simple sandwich lunch.

Copies of our book 'Everything Else an Organist Should Know' will be on sale, with other items, including Merbecke set to the Common Worship words, the Hastings Mass, Horatio Netherwallop's 'Organist's dictionary of Real Meanings', some organ music and a few other interesting items. (We might even have a few copies of '150 Choral Choruses' by then.)
