I've so many songs I want to learn at the moment actually, but I feel bad, whenever my teacher produces one, I suddenly become enthused with something else and stop working on it, so I'm sticking with what she's given me and just teaching myself the others.

Is this really up for debate? We're not engaged, neither of us wants to be, we're both ambitious and concentrating on studying etc. I could understand your disapproval if we were engaged (perhaps) but we're not. We've done nothing wrong.
