The mother of two of my piano pupils wants to start playing again, and is looking for a book she can work through. Obviously she is not a beginner so I am at a loss to suggest what might suit her. Any suggestions would be very welcome. My guess is she would probably like to start again at around grade 3 level, but in truth I doubt whether she really knows what level she is at.

It depends on how confident she is, really, and how much she can remember. I had passed Grade 3 as a child, but felt that I had to go back to basics for a while when I restarted piano as an adult. However, this was before I plucked up the courage to start lessons again. I worked through the Pam Wedgwood "It's never too late to learn piano", but then went straight onto the Grade 4 pieces. Once I had enough confidence with them, I started lessons, only to discover what mistakes I was making!

The process will probably be different for somebody who starts having lessons straight away.
