Nope : pay on the door, and you'll receive a programme painstakingly printed by my fair hand laugh.gif

How much are the tickets? I can't spot anything on here that says. unsure.gif

I shall be in York from approx. 11.00am so if you need any help - setting up, turner, gofer, bouncer, etc. - just let me know. Otherwise Mrs O and self are looking forward to your concert.

I've been at a workshop/masterclass today at the National Centre for Early Music in Walmgate (5 hours on Mendelssohn's songs without words), and left a few posters there. Some of the other local attendees said they would try to make it. I also made sure that Stone Trough Books at 51 Walmgate were displaying it. I have no connection with Stone Trough except as a happy customer, but if anyone is looking to buy secondhand music at the right price, I can thoroughly recommend a visit. Today I picked up £10 worth of good music fo £2.50. They have lots of sheet music for all instruments and voices plus a large stock of music related books. Their Saturday opening hours are 10.00am - 5.30, however, when I passed again at 4.30 on my way home, they had already closed. So, if you want a big music browse next Saturday I suggest going before the concert, it is just over 5 minutes walk from the concert venue.

See you all next Saturday.

Barry - any idea what time any drinks/meal afterwards would finish? I'm debating whether to get the train in for 11am and then head back at about 6:30pm or just stay the night... hum.

How long will be the approx duration of this event? I.e. starts at 1 end what 3ish??? Just wondering as I'm going to be meeting my family (who will be wandering about town and hopefully Christmas shopping (aaaargh!) while I attend this event) afterwards. Just a rough idea would be good smile.gif

At risk of asking a really silly question, if the recital begins at one, what time should the audience aim to arrive? Thought it wise to ask as I heard a rumour that there may be name stickers to pick up before proceedings get underway!! laugh.gif

Cool! Another recruit for the playday yay.gif biggrin.gif I considered bringing my 6 year old to listen. She'd enjoy it but then my 4-year old would want to come too and with that his loud (interested) voice asking questions about the proceedings "What's that lady/man playing Mummy?" " He's got a clarinet like you Mummy !! smile.gif " "Why can't you play the piano like that Mummy???" " I think that maybe sometime you should learn to play the violin Mummy!" etc etc You get the picture rolleyes.gif smile.gif So both will be remaining safely out of the way with my husband. smile.gif Means I get a couple of hours off too but sadly no pizza for me this time either....
