It has won awards at CAMRA events for years. Most people to whom I've mentioned it agree its one of the very best bitters around!
Maybe this should be in 'The Tavern in the Town' thread, but I am also partial to the beer from my wifes original area --- Adnams. (Southwold ,East Suffolk)

Reading isn't the problem - it's that 1 hand is working at totally the wrong place on the recorder and there are some challenges getting the right amount of air into both instruments to get both to sound evenly. This is of course assuming this is still following on from the 2 recorders at once query a few days ago.

As to what I was doing - procrastinating and avoiding the ironing (then again I'm still doing that really)

Matthew and I were in Harrogate once, and there was a male pigeon putting on a bit of a show. Matthew didn't seem to know what was going on. Aw... bless 'im. tongue.gif

But it's quite interesting to watch! Especially when the female really can't be doing with it, and keeps wandering off. biggrin.gif And by goodness those males can fluff up their feathers to extreme levels of fluffiness! blink.gif

That's what I thought! wacko.gif I think it might be something to do with playing combinations of notes that you'd never get on the piano (ie two hands alternating between the two same notes but with each hand playing one note and the other playing the other combined with confusing rhythms.: wacko.gif wacko.gif

It's a bit of a strange piece!

I think I may be slightly better at the whole two recorders thing if it was more tuneful. unsure.gif

Yup, that's the one. Surprisingly, I'm not having too much of a problem playing right-handed and the much bigger problem is trying not to drop the left one - I got a bit worried about my new treble and have switched to two plastic descants now. ph34r.gif

No, I would play the piano with my feet actually. That would be much more impressive than a drum on my back. tongue.gif

If you fancy listening to some more (slightly - ok, very - strange) recorder music, this is the piece I'm attempting to play. wacko.gif It doesn't start till about a third the way through and you have to ignoe the weird dancer.

I'll have a look tomorrow when Mr B isn't sharing bandwidth - our broadband isn't too hot and he's playing some on line game thing with friends. Last time I looked at youtube I apparently 'got them all killed by causing lag' (count to many hundred before saying it's just a game)

Lag is evil. What are they playing? And no, it's not just a game if you're in a league (I used to be a few years ago, but gaming just eats up too much time so I don't to much of it at all now apart from L4D) smile.gif

laugh.gif There's a lot of weird modern recorder music around as well as the baroque stuff. There's also some tuneful modern music too though.

You might prefer this. smile.gif

EDIT: that recording's not very good, but it was the only one youtube had. sad.gif
