I was practicing spring for an upcoming concert and I had been practicing about 1 hour yesterday and 20 minutes today before my mum came in and demanded I stop playing for a while as she can't stand listening to the tune anymore.

I don't see the problem. That is what comes of having parents who are not into classical music.

Playing the piano but now I have got to stop to go and do the ironing. I wish I could just play all day. The love and enthusiasm seems to be coming back that I have lost over the last few weeks since losing my sister.

I just wish that she could have heard me play and see how much I have come on.

This is rather shameful... I'm only just up, so I was still in bed To be fair to myself, I slept very badly last night, so I forgive myself!

Don't blame you! I was up a little later than usual today as I was still awake at 5am, but unfortunately I had to get up to get the ironing done. Hubbie is off to a concert in London today and he is so excited but just told me last night that there is a t-shirt he wants to wear which he only put in the wash a couple of days ago, luckily it is washed, now just to iron and while I am at it, iron everything else!

Ironing's rather therapeutic, I think! I do think that this morning was a little ridiculous though - 12:15 is little bit too late... and I hate getting up late because it makes me groggy for the rest of the day, whereas if I'm up early, I'm nice and refreshed!

No, Special K with milk. The Smarties were thrust upon me by my little sister, and I couldn't hurt her feelings by refusing. Honest!

I used to have to do that to my toe every day!

I had a similar problem that was confined to one area of my body and I had some much stronger medication, so strong only a dermatologist could prescribe it. It worked and the problem is all gone.

Trying to write my essay, then failing miserably

There are far too many other things to do which are a lot more interesting! Like Millie (the cat) fell asleep curled up in a shoe box, so I simple HAD to put the lid on, stick a ribbon on the top, then take it upstairs and present it to mum, who protested that it was animal cruelty but when we took the lid off, Mills simply yawned, then snuggled back down, seemingly unaware that the lid was even put on top!

And now I'm on here! Oh dear, I get distracted so easily. I sit down at the computer, then 5 minutes later think of something I want to do, and rush off, not even noticing that I'm supposed to be writing an essay! I would lock myself in my bedroom and strap myself to a chair, but my younger sister has broken the C key on the laptop, clumsy thing

Unpacking after a fantastic weekend with some fellow forumites who were silly kind enough to put up with me!

Noodling on the forum thinking about unpacking after my trip away, thinking about making some coffee , thinking about all the stuff I have to do today, and thinking about how nice it is that the rain has stopped, finally, so I can put my Ark back in the shed....

On the phone to our block of flats' property managers, to find out what's the latest on the lift (which has been out of service for 2 weeks now). Apparently it is OK to use after all, although the ram seals (sp?) are dodgy. That's cool, as I was hoping to take my Brompton bike out this evening and I'd rather lug it down (or worse, up) the stairs.
And midway through the conversation, popping a Halls Soother.

I was out in the local town centre (hardly a town centre, more like a street of shops...) getting some stuff for tea. There were kids sitting out with a 'man' - cushions dressed in clothes, with a crudely drawn face - asking for 'pennies for the guy'.

Bringing in the washing, which was cold and damp. I fear that it may have come to the time of year where washing has to be dried inside rather than on the washing line!

Paying a cheque into my bank account five minutes before closing time.

Stranded at Ikea for two hours after buying an arm chair too big me to fit in the car as well as the other occupants. Had lots of free tea and then bought even more stuff I don't need while waiting for hubby to go home and come back.
