I was up at 5:15 this morning because my Mum had locked herself out of the house before going off to work (she pushed the keys back through the door so that Shan and I would have them, but forgot that she hadn't lifted the other set with the car keys) and called me on my phone while I was sleeping so that I could come down and open the door for her Stupid woman...!

I was making a large, golden, tinsel bedecked (terribly baroque) star for our Nativity scene. I never was very visually artistic and I suspect this looks more like a metorite than the Star of Bethlehem. Oh well!

I was still making props for the Christmas Celebration. I have stuck enough stars ,and designed enough envelopes for Father Christmas to last a lifetime and have frantically searched for and thankfully found three stuffed lambs( the toy sort, not the roasted ones!) and cut logs for the shepherds' fire.

I was chatting to my mum on the phone. She called just as I burst into tears after splitting the material on my 2nd last pair of jeans (all the others are far too big now), and she cheered me up. And she said she'll fix them if I can manage until Christmas. (Probably sounds trivial, sorry!)
