Just had to take my new car into the garage - the problem was getting it out. This being Italy it was a very small entrance and there was no room to turn round so I would have had to back out over the pavement, bus lane and into a dual carriageway.

I got the mechanic to do it for me.

Not proud of myself but I have only been driving a few weeks and it was way out of my comfort zone.....

Understand completely...I think that quite a lot of Italy is outside my comfort zone even though I've been driving for 25 years
Our street here is so narrow that in 5 years I've not once had the courage to get the car out of our own driveway (involves some delicate reversing and a 5-point turn to get it out of our road). I cycle to work and get Hubby to get the car out on the occasions I need to drive

Purchasing one 1/2lb packet of chocolate raisins, one 1/2lb packet or chocolate peanuts, one 200g slab of white chocolate and one 200g slab of wholenut.
The raisins and white chocolate being a present for me for recovering photos from my husband's not-responding CF card from his camera. The others being for him for, well, being him (actually, the photos were reasonable spectacular so definite worth recovering)
Erm...not all for tonight, though

Oboe practice. Have been working at the Vaughan Williams English Folk Song suite that our windband director is keen to play. The Dives and Lazarus section in the first movement is *nasty*, as it is in four flats and goes like the clappers in 6 8. I am slowly getting on top of this and shouldn't now get totally left behind by the flutes and clarinets at the next rehearsal.

The Vaughan Williams is a lovely suite

But I also liked the choir, loveable rogues, aquabatics and jonathan and charlotte... There were actually some pretty decent acts this year!
