Cooking the dogs' dinner.
At this time of day?
Gourmet food takes time

She must love her dog very much!
Well, cooking early because afterwards it's too hot to do any cooking.
Recipe for gourmet dogs:
Half a packet of "viande pour animaux" sold in local supermarket (tripe, sausages (2) bits of porc, bits of beef).
Anything the humans haven't eaten - particularly bits of salad, ham, chicken and cheese.
Stale croissants and or stale bread cut into small pieces.
Anything the cats haven't eaten - tinned food considered by cats to be too cheap, too old or just too boring.
Add water and a sprinking of Viandox (gravy mixture)
Boil for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Be careful before turning on the heat to remove the cadging dog who wants his dinner now and the cat who has perversely decided it wants the old tin of cat food after all.
Remember to turn on the extractor fan because although the dogs are drooling, it smells - well like the dogs' dinner.
Leave to cool until the evening. Serve when dogs are indicating it is time you started doing something with their bowls and threatening to dig up your favourite plants if you don't.
