Hello smile.gif

During the summer, i would like to buy a few piano books to keep myself playing the piano. However, i am unsure what ones to buy as there are so many different books, and so would like some help on what to buy.

I passed my Grade 3 with merit in March and will probably be starting grade 4 work when i go back to my lessons after the summer, so am around this level.

Any help on choosing some books to keep me busy during the holidays will be much appreciated:)

ABRSM's own 'Short Romantic Pieces' Book 2 is Grade 3 -4. Book 3 is Grade 5

I am sure if the Classics to Moderns' series is also still going. And 'A Keyboard Anthology', theer were also in several volumes according to Grade.

For something lighter try Microjazz 2 or 3 by Christopher Norton

You might enjoy some of the Hours with the Masters series (ed Dorothy Bradley).

If you want a challenge, and something completely different, how about reading through Spectrum 4 (ABRSM publishing)?

Hi everyone

thanks for your replies

I ended up opting for "A Romantic Sketchbook for Piano" book 2 and am really enjoying it right now.

Thanks for your help:) biggrin.gif smile.gif
