Hi,
Since I just bought Sibelius (which by the way I am in love with) i'm looking at the possibility of creating accompaniments to play along with for practice. I've been inspired by this guy that I came across on youtube playing along with an orchestral track he created for Bach's Harpsichord Concerto No.1 :

I know it could never replace playing with real live musicians, but it could be an interesting home project in which I would learn alot about intrumentation as well as playing.
Anyway, a Bach concerto is way too hard for me at the moment - does anyone have any suggestions of where to start with something a bit easier? Maybe scored for a string quartet plus piano, or similar. I play to Grade 7 standard, but an easier piece would be good to start with, and it would be great it the other parts were quite straightforward too.
Has anyone does this themselves? I would imagine that you can buy accompaniments on CD too. Anyone tried that before?
Thanks,
Dave.
