The snow has come!!!! And brilliant as it is, it's really annoying. We had a Christmas panto at school with teachers and sixth form today, this was my form tutor's last day, and my friends and I have compiled a big disk with photos of us over the years with her on. Then I'd been working really hard on my music composition and didn't get to give it in. (wowwww, that sounds nerdy). On the plus side though, I miss geography and chemistry

Finally my party was supposed to be tonight after school! The idea was that my friends come over to mine after school, then my parents and grandparents give us all lifts over there. People are coming from all over the place though, some which usually have double our snow, so I reckon they'll be snowed in! Urgggghhhh.

At 8:00 I'm ringing friends who live near my grandparents, because they'll informed me on facebook that they can walk over, and if it comes to it, there will just have to be a rave between us 4.

I'm going sledging on the Gog Magogs Hopefully my friend's brother will be back from uni, and will bring his wooden sledge like he did in February. He steers it like a maniac, but it's fun.

Then I'm going to walk the dogs, play my violin, light the log fire, switch on the Christmas tree lights and relax with a cup of coffee and a really good book.

Go to work... I'm working til 11pm tonight And I'm working nine hours tomorrow too, so I won't have much of a Christmas Eve

I get the 25th off, but I'm working the 26th through to the 2nd of January I'm not exaggerating when I say that I don't think my knees can handle it I have joint problems, but I sneakily omitted that from my interview so that I would get the job... I sort of regret that now. And I really need the money, so I can't quit either...

Argh

Can you ask to do something like till work, so you don't have to move around so much?

I did, but they don't have time to till train me. I guess I'll just have to stick through it... Ah well.

Thanks, Barry! I'll try to, though it may be a bit difficult... I'm trying to spread my breaks over the course of the day so that I get them at regular intervals, instead of one long break for lunch and one long one for dinner... to give my knees a rest!

They probably will be It was hectic enough today - even at 10:40pm I was having trouble getting the cages through the aisles because there were so many people!

I guess you clock off a lot earlier tomorrow though

Having a lovely holiday but really looking forward to getting down to structured rehearsal for 2 upcoming January concerts

What is a Taize hour?

I'm going to prepare some materials on Augmented 6th chords, starting by searching out examples of each of them in context so that I can build the examples into worksheets. Oh, and working on some handouts for guitar pupils on open chords and progressions.

Later, I'm going to break open the Forte/Gilbert "Intro to Schenkerian Analysis" and work through the first few exercises again.

Dog got me up and now I can't sleep

Then feel grumpy that my EMA was not paid due to missing a day last week, not my fault, however it was unautharised as I did not phone in to tell the college.

Ooh that's mean! I thought you were allowed to miss a day, even if you didn't call in to the school? Perhaps I'm wrong... I was just super-careful not to miss a day last year

I'm probably going to head down to the gym later on...
