Well it was a long shot...
but "trumpeter" is a kind of swan; "showing sloth" might just be "wan" and "ss" for secondary school....
So, the apostrophe in "trumpeter's" is a problem, and it seems a bit inside out but ....
I'm the kind of person who does cryptic crosswords by working backwards from what I guess the answers to be ... as you can probably tell

Our church organ doesn't have a salicional, so I have learnt something!

Ah yes, we do have a Lieblich Gedacht on our swell (also gemshorn, horn diapason, piccolo, mixture, cornopean and oboe). You could try: Stop in German translation - a lovely thought.

Yeah it might be Lieblich Gedeckt not Gedackt, like old forumite Holz Gedeckt.
