La Traviata is an opera. Are you asking if anyone's played any of the orchestral parts, sung it, anything else?

That's what I was thinking laugh.gif

Are you asking if anyone has played the WHOLE opera? or just the famous opening song where they all merrily 'get drunk' wink.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Oooops sorry. I meant playing as part of the supporting orchestra (violin).

Rearranged/edited? or in orignal form and full length work?

Assuming the latter, not easy - what orchestral music is? - and it's quite a longish work (over 2 hours), so plenty of stamina too!!

You can download (in PDF format) the orchestral score from HERE

Thanks AmandaL, I will have a look now. Ive volunteered to play, although I may not be chosen yet and just hope if I am Im not out of my depth with it as theres only 5 violins so I have to be able to play it!. Im not sure if edited or not, its for a good amature operatic group.

Always worth listening to a recording (available from a local library if you don't have your own) and following the score before rehearsals start. This will at least familiarise you with what else is going on in the music, as well as giving some indication of the tempo.
