Full Version: Servicing An Organ

Hi there,

The church that I play at has a fairly basic electric Allen organ, one of the foot pedals doesn't work and I occasionally have a similar problem with one of the great keys, so it could probably do with a service.

Does anyone have any ideas how much you would expect to pay for a regular service?

Thank you

Allen organs do a standard service package which guarantees function. They will replace any parts that need replacing within the service fee.

Having said that I have come across one case where they cannot diagnose the fault, but that is rare. The annual service charge was quite a small sum. It is still less than £200 per annum. Details are obtainable from Peter Flatau (pronounced 'Flaytoe' ) of Allen Organs, who is their expert.

Thank you, that's really helpful, I'm pretty sure it hasn't been done since I started playing there over 2 years ago.
