I am about to do my first singing exam in the Spring. This may be a silly sort of question, but does anyone 'dress up' for the occasion, as one would for a performance?

Obviously you would want to wear something comfortable, but does it need to be slightly more formal / smart too?

I'm taking Grade 6.

I used to just make sure that your comfortable. Its hard enough doing the exam let alone having to worry about whether you look good enough or if your wearing something that is constrictive on your diaphragm, back or chest. Just be yourself and that way both you and the examiner will be at ease. Im sure they wouldn't want you to worry about what your wearing. If it helps, wear something smart-casual such as trousers and top, probably not jeans!Hope this helps but seriously just go and be yourself.
