My exam date is 14th of October this year, but unfortunately from 11th to 16th i have a last school trip in my 12th grade, actually the trip is not obligatory but this is the last one, so really want to go with my friends

Two friends of mine also having piano exams on 16th, so we're in trouble now..
My teacher said that the date is fixed and she suggested to take the exam next term on march 2010 in another city, but we do hope to take exams earlier before the trip..

I'm going to contact the local representative, but just want to let you know, maybe you have a same experience, and could suggest something for me

The date of my Grade 3 exam was allocated to a day when I was away on holiday. My teacher asked for the date to be changed which it was. It's possible that they could only do this though because my exam centre is a large one where exams are held over several weeks. If you can be flexible on which exam centre you use, it may help. Make sure that your accompanist (if you need one) will also be available if you switch the date and/or the exam centre.

My recent experiences with exam boards(particularly AB.) are that, if they can fit you in on a different date - they try their utmost to do so. Good luck.

I have often had pupils change dates in similar circumstances, but it has sometimes meant changing centres. In the UK it's usually quite easy to change, but I think you're overseas, aren't you? I know there's often less flexibility, due to availability of examiners etc., but I would contact the representative & see what can be done.

Yes, i'm in indonesia. Actually a term is about two weeks, so i hope i could change the date.

I've phoned the representative yesterday and simply they don't let me change it!
So, i decided to postpone my exam until march '09 in another city
