I'm a singer too - although largely choral rather than solo. What sort of music do you like?

I like a varied repertiore from Schubert to Britten. Opera has to be my first love though. Thank you for your kind welcome too.

I'm predominantly a clarinettist but love singing for my own pleasure at home and in church.
Would have loved to have lessons when younger but knew my parents would not have afforded them and now I don't have the cash or the time to add any other instrument to my list

What a lot of welcome replies. I am not a top tenor, or even a top singer. I am a baritone and a chorus member and not a soloist. I am not sure why Solori thinks that I might have a cat, but no, I am not a cat owner. And to Skylark: I am pleased to find another opera singer here. We must discuss it at some time. Thank you all.

I'm not a singer, I'm afraid, opera or otherwise. But opera isn't talked about very much on here which I always think is a bit of a shame so it would be good to have someone here whose main interest is opera

(oh and one branch of my family hails from South Wales and I still have a lot of family there )

Welcome to the forums (I'm late as usual)

I don't sing for the good of my pupils and the public at large. I'm an organist and probably the only organist on the forum that admits proudly to play a theatre organ, and electronix entertainment organ (as well as classical organ)


Have fun on the forums. There's the occasional dogfight but it's all very interesting.
