How on earth have you managed to get to diploma standard in two months?

I know that you do occasionally get people who do grade 8 a year or so after starting the flute. However, they are usually people who have huge holes in their technique and manage to scrape through because the pieces suit them and the peculiarites of their technique. I saw a youtube clip recently of a lass who passed grade 8 a year after starting, and she sounded pretty awful... (and I'm surprised she passed unless she played a lot, lot better in the exam).

But diploma standard in two months...
Sorry to be doubting, but are you sure that you are diploma standard? And if you are that standard in such a short space of time, why not not grade 7/8 as a practice run if you want to do a flute exam before you do the diploma?
