Hi everyone, im an amature pianist from the opposite side of your world. Joined the forums some 2 years back but could not keep up as was busy studying for masters. Will be graduating with a masters in anaesthesiology on tuesday. Have been posted out to a district hospital and its terribly boring out here, but m not really complaining as this leaves me with loads of time for practice. I obtained grd 8 abrsm and then LTCL in 1990 then had to break - off to concentrate on the MBBS. Ive resumed lessons over the past 6 years and attempted the dip abrsm 4 years back but failed the sight reading component. I then decided to regroup and concentrate on improving technique and repertoire and am quite pleased with my progress so far. Will be attempting LTCL next year ( no SR! ) Have been enjoying the forums over the past week and hope to be able to post lots!

Welcome Petrof!
Don't know if you had a system problem, or your fingers stutter, but you seem to have posted this opening a few times!

Hello petrof! Glad you've started posting - if you find it a bit slow at the moment, do stick with it because it's not normally as slow as this! We're at opposite ends of the piano spectrum so I might not see too much of you but hope you enjoy it here

Welcome Petrof!
Your 'multiple' posting is probably because the forums have been going slow recently. You may have hit ' add reply' more than once because nothing seemed to be happening - I've done the same before now!
I wouldn't worry (you weren't!) the mods can delete the spare topics if you ask them.

OMG!!! Have been experiencing internet connection problems and could not log in earlier. Horrors!!! Someone please get rid of those extra posts!? Did'nt know they were all sent as i was on an extremely slow connection and an unfamilliar computer that morning. Will be more patient next time. Thanks for the warm welcome forumites.

Hi Clarimoo, from my frequent visits to the forums I've realised most forumites are from in and around England, hence my statement. Thanks for the welcome.

Ha! Logical but might not be true. Here on Jupiter we have a special system that makes it appear as if we all come from England.
Congratulations on your Masters.
