I play piano and have done since I was around 6ish. I got to grade five, then life took over.

I am widowed with an eight year old daughter. She's the reason I joined, really. She wants to take up piano, so I'll be looking for tips from the teachers on here. And also from other parents.

Skylark..your story made me laugh. I heard all those jokes when I was a kid..hence the JustinTime for my login. I still play piano for myself, but you're right. When my daughter starts in September, I'll be taking grades again I expect. Can't have her getting better than her old man can we?

DaisyChain...thank you. I sing a bit, but not enough to consider myself a singer in any shape or form. I just happen to be being fitted for a suit next week. Perhaps I'll reveal my inside leg measurement then. I'm around six feet two tall though...don't know if that would give you an idea....

Hello nice to meet you Justin. I have 2 girls 8 and 5 and they have been playing for a year (8 year old) and 3 months (5 year old). Then theres me cough a little older!
