Miss Ross
I just got a letter in the post. I do like letters.

But this one was addressed to Miss A XXXX. My name doesn't start with an A. mad.gif

It goes on to tell me that on the 16th June I purchased a fridge freezer. Why would I do that? What exactly would I do with one?! Also, where is it? dry.gif

Er... anyone else had anything like this? It's from a wellknown company so isn't obviously some con. I just find it a bit disconcerting that these people think I've bought a fridge... mellow.gif And I don't see paying for it when I didn't even get the bloomin' thing!
Solari
Is it chasing payment? Sometimes when someone scarpers without paying, the company just sends the letter to people in the same area with the same surname. It's usually debt collectors that do this. huh.gif

Maybe the mail person put the letter through the wrong door?

Maybe the firm put the wrong address on the envelope?
Miss Ross
Yeah, it's a warranty thing.

Well, that would be the obvious thing, Violin Here, but it's almost my name and it's the right address...

If it's nothing to do with you, and you don't know who it's for, then file it in the bin wink.gif

Don't you mean shreader? There is personal information in the letter such as address which you wouldn't want strangers knowing.

Don't you mean shredder? There is personal information in the letter such as address which you wouldn't want strangers knowing.

Well that's a good option too! It's hardly difficult for someone to find your name and address if they want to though! smile.gif

I guess it depends what details are on the letter but you're right, I usually shred everything regardless, even junk mail.
all ears
For several years we used to get flyers for girls' kimono, addressed to Girls Name + Our Surname...they went on and on, culminating in a Great Deal for a Coming of Age Day special kimono with long swinging sleeves and ornate waistband...but once the invisible daughter was deemed to be an adult, the DMs stopped! biggrin.gif
