I passed my grade 8 in 1982 and (after all these years) have decided to go for a teaching DipABRSM. The pre-requisites state that you must have grade 8 on your instrument, which I have, but does anyone know if there is an expiry date, i.e. is 1982 too far back?

I know for the performance diploma the 1982 certificate is fine, and also my 1981 theory certificate is fine.

Cheers

Philip

I have just been told via the ABRSM that a 1982 certificate is acceptable. biggrin.gif

Similarly I am considering doing the Dip(ABRSM) teaching but passed my Gd8 on piano way back in 1986. However, I think I have to get Gd 6 theory first as it is one of the pre-requisites and I only have Gd5 theory. Do you have that already?
