There are Flute, Saxophone and Clarinet coures next week at Harrogate with top professional tutors. As a beginner (passed G3 with a merit and starting in G4) I am extremely aprehensive. Two of my piano pupils who are 14 and 13 and starting on their G8 repertoire (on sax and flute respectively) have decided against requesting slots on the master classes as they say the other participents will be mega advanced. My goodness - what hope have I!!!!

Anyone else going?

Hello again!
I've only just joined the forums and I'm afraid I know absolutely nothing about this! I started playing again about 18 months ago after a twenty year break but haven't had any lessons (I do intend to rectify this very soon!) I've just been playing for fun really and also with my piano teacher (who doesn't play clarinet), so could really do with some tuition! I was working for my Grade 5 when I moved area and stopped playing, so I probably play about the same level as you do. If you can tell me any more about it, I may well be interestd! Many thanks! smile.gif

Hi clarijo, I've sent you a PM (Private Message) - if you haven't had one before, go to My Controls and you'll see an Inbox for PMs smile.gif

Hi clarijo - I think you may well be too late for this year as it starts tomorrow afternoon. Enrolment is at the Harrogate Ladies College, Duchy Road between 1.30 and 2.00 pm so you could always turn up and ask. Probably better to ring the organiser, Andrew from Windstruments, on 01274 510050 before 5.00 pm today, Saturday.

Hi Oldromola

I would be interested to hear how your pupils enjoyed this course. We have looked at it for our daughter but couldn't get any sense out of the organisors as to child protection. They were very vague about it.
