Forumites may like to know of an excellent series of 6 concerts over the winter on Tuesday evenings in Leeds (Leeds College of Music -do not confuse with The Yorks College in Headingley where Forum events are held). These Tuesday ones are excellent and inexpensive.

The first three are

Oct 13th Emma Johnson (Clarinet) + piano
Nov 11th Chloe Hanslip (Violin)+ piano
Dec 15th Pascal Roge (Piano)

Full details on www.leedsconcertseason.com (Sorry thats not a hyperlink)

I should point out that a large percentage of the tickets for this series are taken by subscribers (its only small venue, about 180 seats or so), though I have secured tickets for these first three. So if you want to go, get in quick as they will possibly sell out in a few days.

Blimey, not to mention the Nash Ensemble in January. Or Dodworth Colliery Band.

I think I need to move house.

If you're a clari player, you ought to see Emma perform at least once in your life... biggrin.gif

I meant to add that these concerts come under the general heading 'French Impressions'. Much of the music is French , but not exclusively so . (Emma includes Schumann for example)
