Hi all
After reading about the natural minor in one of the threads, it had me a bit confused, i should probably know this, but what is a natural minor scale? Does it have something to do with modes, that is in my head for some reason.
Thanks

It's a minor scale without the accidentals and just the key signature notes. So A natural minor is ABCDEFGA and B minor is BC#DEF#GAB. Natural minor is also known as the aeolian mode.

the major and natural minor are both modes - ionian and aeolian, respectively. the natural minor is the major scale with a flattened 3rd, 6th and 7th degree.
D ionian (major): D E F# G A B C#
D mixolydian: D E F# G A B C (ionian + flat 7th)
D dorian: D E F G A B C (mixolydian + flat 3rd)
D aeolian (natural minor): D E F G A Bb C (dorian + flat 6th)
