It was REALLY nice as it was in quite a small room so it was very 'intimate', I sat just a few feet away from Sarah, never sat so close to a well known performer/musician before! I could see every move and there was me admiring all the bowing/double stops etc
That Guarnieri del Gesu she plays on sounds so lovely you think you are dreaming
She played the Bruch concerto and then the 2nd movement for Verdi's winter season.
She did a 'question and answer' session and there was me with my hand up immediately!!!
asking her: if you have such a busy life, always flying from one country to another etc, where do you practice? do you practice in your hotel room and if so do they ever tell you to 'keep the noise down'???

(apparently sometimes she gets that!

)
She does 80 to 100 concerts per year!!!
She said that she first played the Bruch concerto for her audition at Juilliard School at age 6 (having started learning at age 4 the violin)
To conclude I got myself an autograph and one for my violin teacher too (felt sorry he could not come as he had to work, so I thought I might get the autograph to cheer him up

)
goodnight everyone
