Thanks Guys, do I need a travel card, or do we just walk from London Bridge?

Thanks.

We will be using the tube so a travelcard will be the best bet smile.gif

You may well be able to get a ticket from your home station that combines with a travelcard : this may well be cheaper for you smile.gif

I should think it's unlikely : it'd make people even more nervous. It is a very, very rare occurence to record any part of any forum event.

Hmm I don't think so thank you very much, I get nervous when I record myself without anyone else going to be watching it!

You will have to be entertained by hearing our explanation of events.

We are just going to have a bit of fun and laughter and enjoy the pleasure of playing on a Grand, and of course meeting new forumites.

In response to Stetenorve - not a chance smile.gif

At my last pupil concert I caused quite a bit of upset by insisting on not being recorded. The result was that I played everything almost flawlessly (by my standards) tongue.gif

If we aim to be at the shop for 1:50 that would be great. I think everyone has mine and Barry's numbers now? eldatom - Barry and I will aim to be at London Bridge for 1pm so if you do the same and give one of us a shout we will make the trip to the shop with you! smile.gif

Missypiano - any update at all on how you are feeling? smile.gif

Sounds like so much fun! I am sure you will al have a great time, look forward to reading about it!

Tip for out of Londoners:

If you come on a Bus via Oxford Street get off at the Marks and Spencer [Oxford Circus Branch]and walk straight through the ground floor out the back and there is Great Marlborough St and Schott Music.

If you come on the Underground get off at Oxford circus and take the Regent St South exit, walk south along Regent Street for 2 mins, towards the Liberty Department Store (BigTudor building!) and thats Great Marlborough Street on your left. Another 2 mins and you're at Schott.

...or alternatively turn into Oxford Street (heading east towards Tottenham Court Road, exit 2 I believe) and take the first road on the right (Argyll Street), past the London Palladium (Sister Act signs all over it at the moment), and turn left at the end of the road into Great Marlborough Street and Schott is a short distance on your right.

First of all, well done Sol smile.gif . You really have caught the idea and spirit of organising a low pressure, fun playday, a very, very top class job from you! smile.gif

And I thoroughly enjoyed listening to all of you play, and I enjoyed my duet and my little improvising session! smile.gif

Thank you JoMook/Solari/eldatom/DaisyChain/mini_mo/mini_mo's other half for being such good company. Roll on the next one. Might even try a solo next time! biggrin.gif

Hahaha... I thought you didn't look that flustered, in fact you seemed to be having a good laugh about it. Great work on the Little Serenade smile.gif

I was bowled over by DC's playing of the Gnossiene, that was absolutely beautiful - I have the music here in a book and am just looking over it now - my head is a bit fuzzy after last night's shenanigans though so I think I'll leave any attempts until later! smile.gif

Seeing as Jo and eldatom were talking about the G5 syllabus, I decided to take a look over it this morning... I've been going over the B:3 Schumann despite being a bit hung over and quite like it smile.gif Slow is good! tongue.gif

In the Schumann Von fremden piece, what's with the 2-4 suggested fingering in the LH? For the first bar, for example, am I supposed to do 2+4, use thumb for D, then bring over 2 for the G? wacko.gif I don't want to discuss it with my teacher, obviously wink.gif

EDIT: Ah nvm, I see you are supposed to use the RH. smile.gif
