I need a groovy and off-beat name for my children's choir. It only need to be one or two words as the 'formal' name is going to be attached to the bottom, on the logo, so everyone knows what it is.
I will welcome all your exciting suggestions but sadly I can only use one. A gold star to whoever comes up with the best.

Hello
Some background about the choir might assist with thinging up "funky" names.
My blind suggestion is "tip toes"

Sorry. It's a children's choir, primary school age, mostly 8-10 with a few littlies. I want a name they can be proud to tell people. We sing lots of different music. I don't know that there's much more to tell. We practise in the church hall but it's not a church choir. I think in my heart of hearts I'm looking for a clever pun on something musical, if there are any left which haven't been used (I sing barbershop which has pretty well milked the English language for all available musical puns).

How about Treble Clef - presumably at that age they won't be singing anything low!

Run a competition for your singers: they can each suggest a name (must be written down) and you will choose the best one!

Thank you for your ecellent suggestions. They're all very good. I might have gone for 'Treble Clefs' but there is a group at the local music centre called the 'Trouble Clefs' so I'd better steer clear of that. We tried getting them to make suggestions but they came up with some very odd ideas. There were one or two good ones but I've gone and lost the bits of paper they wrote them on!

Hey Banjogirl,
Not knowing a great deal about your little ones in the choir, and having a thing for alliteration and assonance, I would suggest the following names:
The Local Vocals - presuming they all come from the same geographical area;
The Sunshine Singers - bit of a tongue twister;
The Village Voices - but, judging by the other posts, I think you live in a town;
The Tiny Trebles - I'm guessing they are all below 4'6" tall;
The Musical Munchkins - ok, I admit - I'm stretching things now...
Any good?

Local Vocals - I like it! I may try and persuade my fellow choir leaders (not so in favour of a groovy name as I am...) to accept it. I need to get the children on my side, don't I? Wish me luck!

The Hemidemisemiquavers?
The Minims?
Con Brio? (Or con something else that's appropriate to yourselves?)
Why not pick out a few that you like and put them to the vote?
