I have images in my head of creatures like the Clangers sitting down in the living room, enjoying a nice bit of family time, only to suddenly be rudely interrupted by what seems like an earthquake.

Cue the aforementioned Clangers jumping up and down in a panic, shouting "What the **** was THAT!?"

Rumour has it that several hundred large chunks of gorgonzola are heading for Earth at high velocity.
