I know at least 2 forumites that I am in regular correspondence with that are coming to Procorda next week.

Just wondered if there is anyone else out there that will be joining us.

Really looking forward to it, have to take my revision with me as I have my A214 exam on the Monday, but to be honest my brain feels like it is turning to mush, maybe just some nice piano fun for the weekend will help.

What level is this for? I am doing a begginners course next spring, but would have loved to have come if it were a suitable level! I dont think it is when I looked at the course info. Any excuse for playing the piano for the whole weekend!!!!! piano.gif

Hi Mini Mo

I don't think it actually specifies a level, when I went last year though, there was me and another lady that were both Grade 4 standard and all the rest were much better. Grade 6, 8's and some beyond.

However, nobody made you feel intimidated, and even with my pieces during the master class, the more experienced others were still able to pick up things from the points that the tutor would say to me.

This year I know there are going to be 4 of us that are very similar level, the lady that was there last year (and she has gone every year since it started - now in its 4th year) one lady about to do Grade 4, one lady just done Grade 5, I see myself in between them.

I just know that we are going to have lots of fun.

There is nothing better than a whole weekend of piano and being with likeminded people. You also get the luxury of a personal trainer for exercise and relaxation, concentrating on posture - this was really lovely.

I am hoping that although I am coming home to my A214 exam the next morning, that I shall benefit by the relaxation to put me in good stead for the exam.

Is your beginners course with Pro corda? I would definitely recommend Pro corda for you in the future, I for one will be going again next year.

This year I am looking forward to meeting up with the old friends that I made at Pro corda last year, and the new ones that I hope to meet this year.

No, my course is with a local Music trust near where I live (Benslow trust). I might contact Pro corda and enquire for the future, as I would imagine it would be better to have more experience. I agree though, I really like the idea of having full on lessons for the whole weekend, plus a good chance to meet other pianists. smile.gif
