Oh dear, we'll have to disagree... but this hasn't been a terribly vintage year. Although John and Edward may have a career outside music, I really don't see any of the other 2009 contestants having a long career in entertainment. Looking back, I think Jamie was probably the best of all of them, and he went early.

Ah well. Maybe the 2010 crop will be better...

I love George Michael though, he's such a legend. I've been listening to him since I was a kid, and I love him! He still looks cool

Have actually watched it for the past couple of episodes so that I can feel that I'm on the same planet as everyone else I know! So, Stacey's gone, and I agree that she's fairly mediocre. I saw better performances at the recent secondary school show that I attended. I think Olly's a great performer, but his intonation is sometimes a bit suspect.

As for Joe, a total sweetie, fab voice, but I wish that someone would give him some coaching in breath control!! Oops! Did I say that? "And sorry .... seems to be ... the hardest .... (another huge intake) word", to name but a few examples. Phrasing is appalling! Am I the only one who it wound up??? He's a Geordie though, and so can get away with ###### in my book!

What number do you dial to vote for George? He was pretty good, although perhaps a little pompous ...

I agree with you about Olly being occasionally a bit "pitchy" but due to the fact he seems to be the one strutting around the stage instead of sticking to the ballads there isn't any wonder! I think he's the "performer" out of the two.

I think it might have been nerves - my breathing goes up the left whenever I'm nervous, even though I've been taught breath control and been singing for many years! After all, last night was a biiiiig performance.

Go Joe! He has such a great voice - naturally musical in my humble opinion ... not that that seems to matter - his top's just great though - loads of space, coming from above rather than being forced from the larynx ...
