How long it will take to reach gr 5 practical level for a beginner to learn Trumpet. Can any one suggest some books for a beginner to learn trumpet.

i've been playing the trumpet for about 7 years and it took me about 4 years to get to grade 5 - but it all depends on the amount of practice you do good books are team brass for beginer - and others like simple studies and going solo - if you want to play more well known tunes get some of easy winners books and for studies get the arban method - pricey but well worth it in the long run!
