Full Version: Connecting A Macbook To A Midi Keyboard Won't Work.

I have vainly tried to connect a MIDI keyboard to my Macbook with my Edirol UM-1EX interface. When I get to the point where I have to click an ikon to complete the connection the message sais the pointer will change to a musical note, but it doesn't.

If someone knows how to fix this problem, I'd be most obliged to hear from you.

Thanks,

[1] Have you installed the Edirol UM-1 driver on the Mac?. If not go to Roland website and get the latest driver for Mac OSX

[2] If your midi keyboard is USB compliant (USB2 slot) then you will not require the use of the UM-1EX. You may still need the driver for the particular keyboard, and can get that from their support download site.

Good luck!
