This is probably a stupid question to ask but my parents are buying me a laptop with windows 7 only I want to be able to use sibelius student on there.
Will it work on the new windows 7 operating system?
Sorry if this was a stupid question only the box on sibelius only says mac/xp so I just wanted to check before my parents fork out all the money for it

If it doesn't I can't imagine it would be long before they release a patch for it.

If it doesn't it will be a backwards compatibilty issue with Windows. Nothing new there though unfortunately. OK just me having my customary dig at M$.

Actually Sibelius say the latest version is supported in Windows 7 - see http://www.sibelius.com/helpcenter/win7.html

They say it's supported with Vista but you still have to do some messing around to get the damned thing working... (or at least I did)

The only difference is the features available I think. Sibelius student should still have a version number?
