I need some help! I currently play in a brass band and I play a besson sovereign 927, however i would love my own but i cannot afford this calibre of instrument so i would like any advice on what instrument to buy. I am also working for my grade 6 practical on cornet.

I won't be much help on which particular cornet to buy, being a euphonium player, but can i suggest that if you are at school you investigate buying your instrument through the instrument purchase scheme thingy, which means you can get the VAT off the instrument if you are buying it brand new, it really does make a decrease in the price that you might end up paying.
I got my euphonium and trombone from www.normans.co.uk and i've been very happy with the service we got from them, i'd imagine that they'd be very helpful in advising you on which cornet to buy.
