Oooh, this is a brilliant idea.
I am even further away than kerioboe (Costa Rica) but by a huuuuge coincidence it looks like I might have to be back in the UK for a month for work in May. Not confirmed yet, though.
How near are you to maximum numbers? Any chance of being put on some sort of stand-by list?
I'd bring an oboe...

How exciting - an entry from Costa Rica! At the moment applications are moving slowly but steadily, so you are welcome to apply. I can hold you a place, but it won't be confirmed until you have paid (by the closing date). You can email me the application form.

This is going to be a really interesting session, I think, so I'd suggest anyone thinking about going gets their form in while there are still some places left.....

I think I put this elsewhere on the forum, but just so the info's on the correct thread : I'll be playing recorder here, rather than what I originally put. The dreadful 'imposter syndrome' I had while doing the Fleet recital, and still have at many SRP meetings, swung it for me...

Looking like getting home could be interesting. Hoping that advance tickets do appear at some stage and that Monday looks better than Sunday for travelling. Don't really fancy going the long way home.

Suepea and everyone... bad news (for me at least): looks like I am going to be packed off back to Costa Rica and won't be able to sign up for this event after all. Too bad - I could really do with help and would like to have met you...
Maybe one or two will be in York?
Maybe someone some day will be on holiday in tropical Costa Rica (great coffee, lots of jungle and birds, nice beaches...just not where I live) and come and look me up????

I am due to play a Haydn Sonata at a small event this coming Saturday. I have been studying it for a couple of years. I play it as well a anything else that I play (and better than most things). Last night I played it for my teacher. She still found something to improve in just about every phrase, and every aspect of the interpretation.
Or perhaps that should be

I get performance nerves when I accompany my pupils, so I'll play a piano accompaniment as my 'piece'. Katyjay has offered to be my 'soloist'.

With the closing date coming up this Thursday, I need six more participants to make this day viable. If I do not get the necessary numbers I shall cancel the theatre coach and run it on a self tutored basis, with everyone chipping in ideas, and you would get a refund as most of the cost is the coach's fees.

Suepea, how much extra would the signed up participants need to contribute to have the theatre coach? I for one would be happy to do this as it is quite a long way for me to travel to the event.
